Jewish Community Dialogue with Nefesh

Over the past year many of us have had difficult conversations, with our friends and loved ones, about the events of October 7th and the on going violence in Gaza. It has so often created division, confusion, and pain across our Jewish community. At Nefesh we are committed to having complex, layered, and honest dialogue. Since November of 2023 we have been hosting facilitated conversations by trained community facilitators within our community about Israel Palestine, that honor the variety of experiences and feelings of all those that participate. 

Nefesh is warmly inviting the wider Jewish community of Los Angeles to join in these heart-filled and open dialogues, to strengthen our community’s in-depth listening practice through conversations in a middot-rooted brave space. Regardless of synagogue or community affiliation you are welcome to be part of this incredible opportunity for connection and support.

The session will be 2.5 hours, including tea, snacks and a break.

Parking & Accessibility: Garage parking is available with elevator access to the gathering space on Level 1, where all surfaces are paved or carpeted. Please enter the garage at 850 Echo Park Avenue and press 001 to be buzzed in. Street level access is on Echo Park Ave by staircase (2 flights) or elevator. Biking, carpooling, walking, etc. are also encouraged. NOTE: For the safety of our community, please do not attempt to enter or exit through the back gate on Laguna Ave.
