The Nefesh Spring Retreat returns!

Join us for a weekend of community, spiritual nourishment and enjoyment. This year’s theme is Likrov, Draw Near. We will draw near to our ancient teachings, the soul rest of Sabbath and to each other. This year we will be at the Brandeis Bardin Institute in Simi Valley and we can’t wait to spend the weekend together praying, singing, moving, learning, playing and more -ings. 

Non-Residential

This year we are pleased to be able to offer a non-residential rate for those who would like to participte in the retreat but not stay at the retreat center overnight. We have a limit of 10 slots avaliable for non-residential. We ask our non-residential participants to commit to be there for the entire retreat, for each day of offerings, from start to finish.

Accomodations

Most rooms can accommodate up to four people, with a very limited number of single-occupancy rooms available. We will do our best to match you with the most suitable room. Some are configured with two double beds; others have a double bed and a double sofa bed; others have a queen sofa bed and two single beds. We are able to accommodate families with connecting rooms if need be. All rooms except private rooms will have shared bathrooms.

5 meals are included for folks staying at the Center: dinner on Friday; breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday; and breakfast on Sunday. Cold meals are served on Sabbath (Friday sundown to Saturday sundown). All meals served will be vegetarian, with vegan and gluten free options available. Brandeis Bardin is a kosher campus. Unlike at some previous retreats, no outside food can be prepared on campus. If you have special dietary needs, please be in touch with Ellen so we can arrange for these accommodations with the catering staff.

Please note that there are limited rooms avaliable. We will do our best to meet your needs and appreciate your flexibility as we do so.

Accessibility

Speech and music are almost entirely amplified – there will be time throught the day where we will be meeting in smaller groups and rooms and those occasions will not be amplified.

Health & Safety

Children need to be supervised by an adult at all times. Group meeting facilities are limited to the ones reserved for our group, which will be designated with Nefesh signage. Ask a Nefesh staff member if you are unclear about a space at the retreat. Please be mindful of people’s personal space, especially when sharing rooms. Do not enter someone else’s room without permission, and please ask for consent before hugging or touching other guests in any way. The retreat center is a drug and alcohol free facility.

Adult shared: $650

Child: (age 5-12) $450

Child: (under the age of 5) Free

Non-Residential: $350 with commitment to participate for the entire retreat

Cancellation policy

Full refund minus a $50 cancellation fee will be honored for any cancellations before March 13th. After that date, we cannot process refunds for cancelled registrations.
