Nefesh is a middot-driven community. This means that we, both collectively and individually, are grounded in a practice of intentional focus on the middot, our deepest Jewish values.
Mussar is a Jewish spiritual practice around the middot, engaged in developing an internal and external mindful moral compass and ethical life.
Nefesh Mussar is an emergent, feminist, queer, and embodied approach to this wisdom tradition and spiritual discipline focused on growth and transformation within our inner lives, relationships, communities, and the world around us.
We meet in person in Eagle Rock and on Zoom on the first Sunday of the month starting in April from 10:45am-12:00pm (April 7, May 5, and June 2, 2024). For Spring Mussar, we ask that participants commit to the full series, so we are not able to accommodate requests to join after the April 7 class.
